BACKUP SETUP
Select the folders you want to back up. Set a schedule, then close the window if you do not need it. Use the MaxBackups icon in the Windows notification area to reopen the app.

Run every six hours, daily, or weekly. Pause, resume, or change the schedule whenever you want.
Step 3
Enable launch at login to start MaxBackups when you sign in to Windows. Scheduled backups can run with the app window hidden.
INCREMENTAL BACKUP
Incremental backup is the default setting. The first backup saves your selected files. Later runs use the previous backup record to skip reading unchanged files and reuse data already stored in the cloud.

RESTORE YOUR FILES
Each completed backup creates a snapshot: a record of your files at that time. Browse snapshots or search for a deleted file. Choose what to restore and where to save it.
Open a backup point and see the files and folders protected at that time.

Restore one file, a folder, or all the files in a snapshot to a folder you choose.
Restored folders are saved in a separate, clearly named folder. You can review the restored files in their own folder.

WINDOWS SETTINGS
Choose whether MaxBackups starts when you sign in to Windows. Reopen the app from the notification area to check progress, change settings, or restore files.
Scheduled backups continue. Reopen the window from the icon in the Windows notification area.
Windows Credential Manager stores the token that connects your computer to MaxBackups. This uses the credential storage provided by Windows.
After you connect your computer, you can choose to launch MaxBackups at login. You can change this choice later in Settings.

Keep the computer running and connected to the internet, and allow MaxBackups to read the selected folders. The app shows backup results so you can review any interrupted or failed runs. It is also good practice to test a restore periodically.
Removing a schedule stops future scheduled runs for that job. It does not automatically delete existing cloud backups. Those backups remain subject to your plan's history limits, retention settings, and account access.
